The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only drawback is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.

The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the newest version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean the objects, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

It can also tell when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has many characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and small dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mop is also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
